About

Hey y’all! I’m TiBerni Hall🌸 —a Southern-born storyteller, researcher, and educator with a deep love for history, community, and the many beautiful (and complicated) stories that make up our past and present.

Rooted in the heart of Georgia and sharpened by my years studying at Xavier University of Louisiana, I hold a B.A. in History, African Diaspora Studies, and Public Health. I’ve always believed that the power of a good story—especially one that's been forgotten, overlooked, or suppressed—can change hearts, policy, and futures. That belief has led me to archives, classrooms, courtrooms, museums, and even the streets of Havana, Cuba.

Whether I’m giving tours at The Wren’s Nest, coaching middle schoolers in the art of debate, filing pleadings for a legal firm, or diving into the forgotten pages of Southern queer history, my mission is the same: "to lift up the stories that matter, especially those tucked away in the margins."

 ✨ What I Do

I wear many hats—docent, fellow, researcher, teacher, storyteller, legal assistant, and even makeup artist (yes, beauty and brains can coexist!). I’m currently serving as a fellow with "Canopy Atlanta", where I’ve been privileged to research and write about Collier Heights, its legacy, and the voices of the folks who’ve called it home.

I've taught in classrooms as a substitute teacher, shared folktales with kids and tourists, and worked behind the scenes in law offices making sure the details don’t get lost in the shuffle. I believe in community care, in education as activism, and in making history feel alive, vibrant, and accessible.

📚 My Life’s Work (So Far)

Published researcher & public historian
Legal & administrative wiz
Museum interpreter & storyteller
Debate coach & mentor
Future lawyer (stay tuned!)
Lover of archives, oral histories, and cultural preservation

Whether it’s diving into the mystery of the "UpStairs Lounge fire" or investigating the cultural cost of "nationalized rap in Cuba", my research blends curiosity, rigor, and heart. I center Black, Southern, queer, and diasporic voices in everything I do.

🍑 Just a Southern Girl With Big Dreams

At my core, I’m just a Georgia peach trying to do good in this world—one story, one student, one citation at a time. I created this space to share the work I’ve done, the questions I’m asking, and the lessons I’ve learned (and am still learning) along the way.

So pour yourself some sweet tea, pull up a chair, and stay a while. You just might find something here that inspires you to dig a little deeper, ask harder questions, or tell your own story.

With heart,
Ti Hall
